Sending WhatsApp Messages from Tesoro

Sending template message (first contact):

When contacting for the first time (or >24 hours no conversation):

  1. Open contact in Tesoro
  2. Click Send WhatsApp
  3. Select Use Template
  4. Choose an approved template
  5. Fill in variables (name, address, date, etc.)
  6. Preview message
  7. Click Send

Freeform message (active conversation):

If you reply within 24 hours of contact's last message:

  1. Open WhatsApp conversation in Tesoro
  2. Type your message (no template required)
  3. Optional:
    • Upload photos (properties, documents)
    • Send PDFs (brochures, contracts)
    • Share location (property address)
    • Send contact card
  4. Click Send

Sending rich media:

Sharing property photos:

  • Click attachment icon
  • Select photos of property
  • Add caption
  • Send up to 10 photos per message

Sending PDF brochure:

  • Upload PDF (max 100MB)
  • WhatsApp shows preview
  • Contact can download

Sharing location:

  • Click location icon
  • Select property address
  • WhatsApp shows map with pin
  • Contact can open navigation

Receiving replies:

  • Contact replies appear in WhatsApp Inbox in Tesoro
  • Automatically linked to contact
  • Real-time nietifications
  • You have 24 hours to reply without template

Troubleshooting

Common issues:

Message canniet be sent - 'Template required':

  • You're trying to send a freeform message outside 24-hour window
  • Use an approved template
  • Or wait for contact to reply to open 24-hour window

Template is rejected by Meta:

  • Read rejection reason carefully
  • Common reasons:
    • Too many variables or placeholder text
    • Promotional content in Utility template
    • Grammar/spelling errors
    • Missing opt-out instructions in Marketing templates
  • Adjust template and submit again

'Phone number niet registered' error:

  • Phone number is niet yet verified with Meta
  • Check if number is correct in WhatsApp settings
  • Verify that number is niet already in use on regular WhatsApp

Messages are niet delivered:

  • Contact has blocked you or deleted WhatsApp
  • Number is niet (anymore) active
  • Check delivery status in message log

Account restricted by Meta:

  • Too many blocks/reports from contacts
  • Spam complaints
  • Violation of WhatsApp policies
  • Contact WhatsApp support via Meta Business
  • Review your messaging strategy - focus on quality
