What you can track:

Setting Up and Managing Milestones

Step 1: Define Construction Milestones
Open your Project → Timeline tab → Add Milestones
Standard residential milestones:

For each milestone fill in:
- Name: E.g. "Foundation Complete"
- Target Date: When do you expect this milestone?
- Progress Weight: How much % of total project (25%)
- Description: What happens in this phase?

Step 2: Update Milestone with Photos
When a milestone is reached:
- Open Project → Timeline → Click on milestone
- Mark as Complete
- Update Actual Completion Date
- Upload 5-10 photos of the work:
- Wide shots (overall site)
- Detail shots (foundation work, rebar, etc.)
- Progress comparison (before/after)
- Team at work (optional, adds human touch)
- Add Update niete:
Foundation Complete! All 72 unit foundations have been poured and cured. Concrete strength tests passed with excellent results. We're now 2 days ahead of schedule. Next milestone: Structure Complete (Expected: October 2024)
- Choose nietification option:
- Email all buyers immediately
- Add to monthly newsletter
- Post to client portal only

Step 3: Update Overall Progress Percentage
Tesoro automatically calculates overall progress based on milestone weights:
Foundation (25%) + Structure (50%) = 75% complete
But you can also make manual adjustments for between-milestones:
- Project → Progress → Manual Update
- Fill in current % (e.g. 55% - halfway through Structure phase)
- Add niete: "Structure work 50% complete - Building A walls finished"
- Optional: Upload progress photos
- Click Save Update
Progress Dashboard shows:
- Overall: 55% complete
- On Schedule: Yes (green indicator)
- Days Ahead/Behind: +2 days ahead
- Next Milestone: Structure Complete (Oct 2024)
- Timeline: 10 of 18 months elapsed
This info is visible to buyers in client portal.

Monthly Progress Emails:
- Project → Settings → Automations
- Enable "Monthly Progress Report"
- Choose day (e.g. 1st of month)
- Tesoro automatically sends:
- Overall progress %
- Milestones completed this month
- Recent photos (last 10 uploaded)
- Next milestone date
- Contact info for questions
Milestone Completion Alerts:
- Enable "Auto-nietify on milestone complete"
- Buyers immediately get email when you mark milestone as done
- Saves you time - no more manual emails
Photo Upload nietifications:
- Enable "Weekly photo digest"
- When you upload photos, buyers get a digest every Friday
