Outlook OAuth Integration Complete Setup Guide

Securely connect your Outlook or Office 365 account to Tesoro via OAuth 2.0. Send and receive emails directly from your CRM with full Microsoft integration.

Outlook Specific Features

Outlook Calendar synchronization:

Synchronize your Outlook calendar with Tesoro for unified scheduling:

  1. In Email Account Settings → enable Calendar Sync
  2. Choose sync direction:
    • One-way (Tesoro → Outlook): Tesoro meetings appear in Outlook
    • Two-way: Bi-directional sync (recommended)
  3. Select which calendar:
    • Primary calendar
    • Specific sub-calendar
  4. Click Enable Calendar Sync

Now Tesoro meetings are automatically added to your Outlook calendar and vice versa.

Outlook Contacts synchronization:

Import your Outlook contacts to Tesoro:

  1. Enable Contacts Sync in account settings
  2. Choose import options:
    • One-time import: One-time import of all contacts
    • Continuous sync: Continuous sync of contact changes
  3. Map Outlook fields to Tesoro fields
  4. Click Start Import

Outlook Rules and Folders:

Tesoro respects your Outlook folder structure:

  • Emails remain in the same folders
  • Outlook rules are niet overwritten
  • Tesoro adds its own labels (niet visible in Outlook)
  • Deleted emails in Outlook are also deleted in Tesoro

Shared Mailboxes (Office 365):

Connect shared mailboxes for team email:

  1. Go to Email Accounts → + Add Shared Mailbox
  2. Select shared mailbox from your Office 365
  3. All teamlids with access can send emails via shared mailbox

Troubleshooting

Common issues:

OAuth authorization fails with 'Admin approval required':

  • Your organization requires IT admin approval
  • Click Request Approval and wait for admin approval
  • Contact IT admin if approval takes long
  • Alternative: ask admin to add Tesoro CRM to approved apps list

Emails are niet synchronized:

  • Check if Sync Folders are configured correctly
  • Verify that Outlook mailbox is niet full (quota)
  • Click Force Sync for manual synchronization
  • Check sync errors in Sync Logs

'Mailbox unavailable' error:

  • Outlook mailbox is temporarily unavailable
  • Check if your Outlook account is active
  • Verify that Office 365 license hasn't expired
  • Try Reconnect Account

Shared mailbox canniet be connected:

  • Verify that you have access to the shared mailbox
  • Check if shared mailbox is enabled in Office 365 admin
  • Use 'Add as Delegate' instead of 'Connect Account'

Calendar sync doesn't work:

  • Check if Calendar permissions are set correctly
  • Verify that calendar is niet read-only
  • Click Re-authorize Calendar Access
