What is the Communication Center?

The Communication Center is your central hub for all customer communication in Tesoro CRM. Instead of switching between Gmail, WhatsApp, SMS and your phone, you see all conversations in one place.

Supported Channels

  • Email: Gmail and Outlook via OAuth
  • SMS: Via Twilio integration
  • WhatsApp: WhatsApp Business API
  • Phone: Call history and notes

Accessing the Communication Center

Navigating to Your Inbox

  1. Click Communication in the main menu
  2. Or use keyboard shortcut Shift+C
  3. You now see the unified inbox

Inbox View

The inbox shows:

  • Left sidebar: Conversation list with contact names
  • Center: Selected conversation with full history
  • Right: Contact details and actions

Inbox Filters

Filter messages by:

  • Channel: Email, SMS, WhatsApp, Calls
  • Status: Unread, Replied, Follow-up needed
  • Assigned: To me, To team, Unassigned
  • Date: Today, This week, This month

Unified Conversation View

All Channels in One Thread

When you open a contact, you see all communication chronologically:

  • Emails: Complete with subject and content
  • SMS: Text messages with timestamp
  • WhatsApp: Messages including media
  • Calls: Duration, direction (inbound/outbound), notes

Conversation Actions

From any conversation you can:

  • Reply: Choose channel (email/SMS/WhatsApp)
  • Add tag: Label for categorization
  • Assign: To teamlid
  • Create task: Follow-up reminder
  • Link deal: Connect to sales opportunity
  • Add niete: Internal niete (niet visible to customer)

Smart Context

Tesoro automatically shows:

  • Linked properties that were discussed
  • Open deals with this contact
  • Recent activities and interactions
  • Contact preferences and tags

nietifications and Alerts

Real-time nietifications

Receive alerts for:

  • New message: Email, SMS, WhatsApp incoming
  • Contact reply: Response to your message
  • Missed call: When customer calls
  • Assigned conversation: Team member assigns

nietification Settings

Personalize your nietifications:

  1. Go to Settings > nietifications
  2. Choose per channel:
    • Desktop push: Browser nietifications
    • Email digest: Daily summary
    • Mobile push: Via Tesoro app
    • Off: No nietifications
  3. Set Quiet Hours (e.g., 8pm-8am)
  4. Click Save

nietification Badge

Red badge shows number of unread messages:

  • In main menu at Communication
  • In browser tab title
  • Click to go directly to inbox

Yes, the Tesoro mobile app has full access to the Communication Center. You can read and reply to messages via email, SMS and WhatsApp from your phone.
chevron_right How long is communication history retained?
All communication is retained indefinitely in Tesoro. You can always scroll back to the very first conversation with a contact.
chevron_right Can I export conversations?
Yes, open a contact, go to Communication tab, click ... menu and select 'Export to PDF'. This is useful for legal purposes or archiving.
