The Tesoro Client Portal is a secure, personalized web environment where your clients can:

Step 1: Activating Client Portal

Go to Portal Settings

1. Click on your profile photo in the top right of Tesoro CRM

2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu

3. Go to the "Client Portal" section in the left menu

4. You now see the portal overview dashboard

Admin Rights Required: If you don't see the Client Portal option, contact your account administrator to get the right permissions.

Dashboard Overview: Here you see statistics like number of active portals, last logins, and popular content.

Enable Portal Functionality

1. Click on the "Activate Client Portal" toggle at the top of the page

2. The toggle turns green and shows "Active"

3. A confirmation popup appears with your portal URL

Your Portal URL: Typically something like portal.tesoro-crm.nl/yourcompany

Important niete: Once activated you get a 14-day trial period. After that there are costs associated with the number of active portal users.

Initial Configuration: After activation, a basic portal setup is automatically created with your company details.

Check Basic Configuration

After activation Tesoro automatically checks if your basic information is complete:

✅ Automatically Filled:

  • Company name: From your account profile
  • Contact information: Email and phone
  • Logo: If you've uploaded this in your profile
  • Colors: Default Tesoro branding

To Fill Manually:

  • Welcome message: Personal message for clients
  • Support contact details: Who clients can contact with questions
  • Portal name: What your portal is called (e.g. "My Property Portal")

Tip: Click "View Preview" to see how your portal looks to clients.

Step 2: Portal Branding and Styling

Customize Logo and Company Details

1. Go to "Branding" tab in portal settings

2. Click on "Upload Logo" to add your company logo

3. Update your company details if they're niet correct:

  • Company name: As clients know you
  • Tagline: Short description of your service
  • Contact information: Main phone and email
  • Address: Business address for trust

Logo Specifications:

  • Format: PNG, JPG, or SVG
  • Size: Minimum 200x80 pixels, maximum 800x200 pixels
  • Background: Preferably transparent (PNG)
  • Color: Ensure it's readable on light background

Choose Colors and Styling

  1. Choose "Primary Color" - used for buttons and links

Why a welcome message is important: It's the first thing clients see and sets the tone for their experience.

Customize Welcome Message:

  1. Go to the "Content" tab
  2. Click in the "Welcome Message" field
  3. Write a personal, warm message
  4. Use the rich text editor for formatting

For Sales:

"Welcome to your personal property portal! Here you'll find all information about selling your home. From photo updates to contracts - everything in one place. If you have questions, I'm always available."

For Purchase:

  • Keep it short but personal (50-150 words)
  • Mention what they can expect in the portal
  • Clearly state how they can get in touch

Step 3: Giving Clients Access

Select Client Contact

1. Go back to "Client Portal" main page

2. Click on "+ New Portal Access"

3. Search and select the contact that should get access

4. The contact must already exist in your CRM contact list

Requirements for Portal Access:

  • Valid email address: Required for login credentials
  • Contact type: Must be set as 'Client' or 'Active Lead'
  • Complete name: First and last name must be filled in
  • Linked to property: Recommended but niet required

Tip: If your contact isn't listed, first go to Contacts to complete the basic information.

Configure Portal Rights

Choose Access Level:

  • Basic Access: View documents, receive messages
  • Standard Access: + Send messages, view appointments
  • Extended Access: + Upload documents, add notes

  1. Documents: Which documents may the client see?

Privacy Settings:

  • Data Retention: How long does data remain available?
  • Download Rights: May they download documents?
  • Contact Visibility: May they see other contacts?

Send Login Invitation

Automatic Invitation:

  1. Check the client's email address
  2. Click "Send Invitation"
  3. Tesoro automatically sends a personal email
  4. The client receives login instructions and a temporary password

What the Client Receives:

  • Welcome email: With portal URL and login details
  • Temporary password: Must be changed on first login
  • Instructions: How to log in and navigate
  • Support contact: Your details for questions

Manual Options:

If automatic email doesn't work:

  1. Copy the portal URL and login details
  2. Send these manually via your own email
  3. Or call the client and walk through the login process together

First Login: Invitations are valid for 72 hours. After that you need to send a new one.

Yes! On first login clients must change the temporary password to their own choice. After that they can always change it via 'My Profile' in the portal. If they forget their password, they can request a reset via the portal.
chevron_right How many clients can get access to the portal?
There's no technical limit on the number of portal users. You pay per active user per month. Inactive accounts (>90 days no login) are niet counted. You can always deactivate users to save costs.
chevron_right Can clients upload documents to the portal?
Yes, but only if you give them 'Extended Access'. They can then upload documents to a special 'Client Upload' folder that only you can see. You get a nietification for every upload and can decide to share it or keep it private.
